I’m a first time mom and am taking the year off from teaching middle school science to take on the new role of mom to my first daughter Olivia.  I was born in the Philippines and raised in the Midwest.  I’m still trying to figure out the parenting culture of the Pacific Northwest.  Before becoming a mom, my days were spent dancing, knitting, sewing, reading, writing, exploring the city, and watching too much television.  Now I’m trying to find a balance between raising and nurturing a baby while still making time to do the same for myself.
