A new adventure begins

I’ve decided to start blogging again and it will mainly be about our homeschool life. It’s been a full 2 years now since we decided to start homeschooling. And WOW, so much has happened in our lives. When I started this blog, I had just had our son. He’s now 7. I blogged about everything related to being a new Mom, breastfeeding woes, sleep regressions, making new friends, finding my new identity. Now 7 years later, I hardly think of those things anymore. I had another baby but it feels like it’s been forever since she was a baby too.

I don’t really consider myself a writer. I’m not the best with words. I often put my foot in my mouth and say inappropriate things at the worst time. Or insult someone without realizing I did. Sometimes I can make people laugh, sometimes not. But one thing I love, is deep honest & meaningful conversations. That’s what this blog has been to me. A place to talk honestly about Motherhood. A place to write my experiences which someday, now or in the future, might find their way to a stranger’s screen from a Google search or Facebook post. Some posts I’ve written years ago are still being read and commented on. Those thoughts, research, tips and struggles are still being related to by other Moms around the World. I often get emails of someone saying Thank you for writing about my sleep struggles with a newborn, or a problem I had with TSA and breastmilk. Blogs live on.

Fast forward to now. We’ve been on a wonderful new adventure called Homeschooling. It’s been terrifying and wonderful at the same time. So it begins. A new thing to write about on my old blog. Years ago, the idea was birthed to name this blog, Moms Alive. I have always loved this name. YES! I want to be a Mom, a woman, living a life FULLY ALIVE!!! This is the life God has called me to. And I will use it to glorify Him!

I don’t promise to have any answers to any problems you may face. I may not inspire you. But that’s ok. I will keep writing for the one person out there that may benefit, that may becoming awakened, that may become inspired. And welcome! I promise to always write from my heart and to be honest.

So what is a Mother living a life FULLY ALIVE? For me,  (although I didn’t know it at the beginning) it was becoming a homeschooling family! I truly had no idea what God had in store for us. And His glorious purpose has only begun to unfold in our family.

I’m truly excited to begin sharing our homeschool journey with you. Thank you for reading this and I’d love to connect with you. I will be writing more soon on why we chose to homeschool, how to get started, how to connect with other homeschoolers, the ups/downs we’ve had so far, and much much more.

So here I go…..trusting in Him! 11986550_10207914193080836_3822283152947468844_n
