Jack & Jill Spring Sale
Jack & Jill, the North End’s premier resale children’s event, is back this spring with its biggest sale yet at on March 30th-April 1st at the Lynnwood Convention Center. Jack & Jill organizes over 200 local consignors, vendors, and sponsors, bringing tens of thousands of children (birth to age 12) and maternity items under one roof. This spring’s seasonal sale will offer over 13,000 square feet of high quality items at bargain prices.
“The beauty of the Jack & Jill consignment sale is that we are able to have an incredible inventory available to our shoppers during this multi-day event, including clothing, shoes, toys, books, games, furniture, strollers, and maternity items,” said Rachel Kalous, local mom of three and owner of the Jack & Jill consignment sale. “The selection is amazing and once you shop a consignment sale, you’ll be hooked. You just can’t find the selection and prices this good any place else.”
New to this spring’s Jack & Jill sale are family-focused amenities to make the shopping experience even more enjoyable. An on-site espresso cart will be available on Saturday morning and Sunday afternoon, offering a variety of beverages, as well as snacks and light lunch options. And throughout the weekend event, a separate “mommy lounge” outfitted with comfy couches will be available so moms can take a break from shopping to feed, play, and cuddle their little ones.
Jack & Jill is an independently run sale, focusing on supporting families in the community as well as local, mom- owned businesses. Jack & Jill sponsors the Made by Mom boutique area that offers local mompreneurs the opportunity to showcase their businesses. “We have some of our favorite vendors returning, as well as some new ones,” said Kalous. “We’ll have cloth diapering products, handmade blankets & bibs, gorgeous diaper bags and purses, handmade accessories, a local early education academy and more.”
Shoppers can be confident that they are purchasing high quality items that have been screened to meet safety standards. “We are selective in what we will accept so that our shoppers will find what they are looking for, our consignors will sell more, and our donation recipients receive high-quality donations for those they serve,” said Kalous. “The quality of our sale is what sets us apart and keeps our consignors and shoppers coming back.”
At the conclusion of the sale, consignors have the option of donating any unsold items to Westside Baby, a Seattle-based non-profit that provides basic necessities to kids in need, free of charge. Jack & Jill also coordinates a baby food and diaper drive, encouraging shoppers to bring disposable diapers, wipes, formula, and baby food to benefit the Maltby Food Bank.
“This is the fourth sale for Jack & Jill and as we grow, so does the impact on our community,” said Kalous. “This sale is seeing an increase in consignors by 50 percent from the last sale which means that many more families will benefit. We have some really generous shoppers that give above and beyond to our charitable partners. The donation component is always one of my favorite parts of the sale.”
The sale opens to the general public on Saturday, March 31st from 10am – 7pm (early entry at 9am with a donation for the baby food and diaper drive) and continues Sunday, April 1st from 10am – 4pm (half price sale beginning at 1pm). There is a private, pre-sale event on March 30th for consignors, volunteers, and new moms.
