Help! I locked my keys and my kid in my car

What do you do? If you can’t call your husband or someone who has an extra set of keys, there is a great resource that can help….FOR FREE.

Call POP A LOCK and they will come rescue you (and your poor baby locked inside). Here is what Pop a Lock has to say on their website about emergencies like this.

Pop-A-Lock is dedicated to each and every community we proudly serve, and we show it by offering our Emergency Door Unlocking Program. In the event that your child becomes locked inside your vehicle, Pop-A-Lock of Seattle will perform our car door unlocking services free of charge.

I think this is so great. I’ve never actually locked my keys in my car, but now that I have a kid, I fear doing it all the time. I’ve now got their number programmed in my phone just in case. Their number is so easy to remember (in case you also locked your phone in your car.) 1-800-POP-A-LOCK.

Yep, been there, done that. Had to wait half an hour before my husband finally made it home (he was on his bike…). Totally traumatic for all involved (although, not dangerous, as fortunately it was a cloudy Seattle day).

Wish I’d known about this service – it’s brilliant! Thanks for telling us about it. 🙂

  2. If you have the kind of car that opens with a beeping key, you can open your door by calling someone on your cellphone who has a set of them. They can make it beep over the phone and it transmits the signal and unlocks the car! I’ve done it, it totally works.
